The Prepuzzle for CMU Hunt Spring 2022 revealed the theme of the hunt.
Solve Path[edit | edit source]
There are no clues, so the first guess is unlikely to be correct. The incorrect answer message, "We told you: THIS IS NOT A PUZZLEHUNT." gives the answer though: THIS IS NOT A PUZZLEHUNT (Submitting this instead gives the message "Oh no! You figured us out!"). The answer is an allusion to "Ceci n'est pas une pipe", a message found in The Treachery of Images, a modern surrealist artwork by Rene Magritte. The modern art theme is also alluded to by the Piet Mondrian-esque hunt aesthetic.
