Some song compilations make no sense. At least they'll be fun to listen to when the video game adaptation finally comes out.
Soundtracks is a musical Cryptolist from the Creative Pictures Studios round of the 2020 MIT Mystery Hunt.
Puzzle Elements[edit | edit source]
Cryptogram - The puzzle identifies itself as a cryptolist.
Identification (Popular Music) - Every cryptolist solves to a list of song titles. Each one happens to be a title that's nonsense in a particular manner clued by the title—in the first list, for instance, each one repeats one of its nonsense words.
Paint-By-X - The puzzle describes its own extraction, essentially amounting to a paint-by-numbers where the numbers are determined by the cipher used on each cryptolist. The extraction creates a pixel art image of its answer.
