Cipher & Code Breaking Competition (CCBC) 12 was the 12th iteration of CCBC, held from August 12, 2022 to August 21, 2022. This hunt was organized by Cipherpuzzles and written by the winning team of CCBC 11. The theme of this puzzle hunt is ‘Time loop’.
Plot[edit | edit source]
In the prologue, teams needed to solve endless puzzles constructed by classical ciphers until they found the hidden message to get out of the loop. After that, teams found they were trapped in a time machine with six timelines where they could travel to different years to solve the corresponding puzzles to fix timelines in order to get out of the time loop. After all six timelines were fixed, teams needed to get to the core of the time machine to find the way to finally escape from the time loop, as the answer of the final metapuzzle indicated.
