Chronology

Cipher & Code Breaking Competition (CCBC) 15 will be held on August 9, 2024. This hunt is organized by Cipherpuzzles and written by 闲散解谜！(Laid-back Puzzling), the winning team of CCBC 13.

Plot

Teams start out at Xiansan Kindergarten, a school with great puzzle solvers. They take a placement test that SEVENKING administers, partly to overcome the five school bullies. However, when SEVENKING points out that the new student is a transfer and opens the door, attempting to show something else, a space-time vortex materializes, and the five bullies drop their disguises to reveal themselves to be members of the writing team. SEVENKING then talks about how CCBC is doomed due to the limits of the self-repair power, so he sends teams over to solve the problems with CCBCs in six alternate timelines and obtain certificate from the respective SEVENKING(s).

Teams then ventured into different timelines to convince a genius girl to start CCBC 1 by beating her in a cooking competition, change the topic of CCBC 12 to be less scientifically obscure, rally back the organizing members of CCBC 9 from around the world, keep the forum 密码吧 (Baidu Cipher Bar) free from spams and hackers to host CCBC 10, convince protestors to hold off on protesting CCBC 14, and make amends for a poorly run CCBC 15. Then with the powers of the crystal ball, SEVENKING helps teams find a way to figure out what caused the problems in the first place.
