The Prepuzzle for CMU Hunt Fall 2022 revealed the theme of the hunt.
Solve Path[edit | edit source]
The A and Z at the ends of the bent line suggest writing the rest of the alphabet on the line. This means that 12345 should be towards the middle of the alphabet. In particular, 2 and 3 are diametrically opposite of the A and Z, so likely these are the positions of the N and M. This gives 12345 = LMNOP. Substituting these letters into the numbers at the bottom, 2434541Y, gives us the final answer MONOPOLY. (Note that the color of the square, as well as the directionality of walking clockwise from the bottom right of the board, also evokes the Monopoly board game.)
