Each of the amoebae contains a different number of cilia / protrusions ranging from 1-10. This suggests sorting them in order. Doing so, and then rotating the amoebae correctly gives lettershapes reading the theme of the hunt, PREHISTORY. In the logo of the hunt itself, it shows the amoebae correctly sorted and oriented to spell the theme.
