Edric's 2018 Treasure Hunt (the first in the series) went live at 8:00 p.m. EDT on the first Friday in April, 2018. The hunt was comprised of a linear series of five puzzles; solving one puzzle would lead the solver to the next, until the end of the hunt was reached. The nature of the six puzzles were:
- A 3D paper-manipulation puzzle with literary quote
- A kakuro puzzle
- A text-based puzzle
- A data-manipulation puzzle
- A revisitation of the earlier kakuro puzzle
