Facebook Hack-a-Hunt was a puzzle hunt hosted by Facebook and was held in Carnegie Mellon University. It was held twice, once in 2016 and once in 2018. The name is similar to a hackathon (itself a portmanteau of hack and marathon), a usually fast-paced event for programmers to build an application or website in a short period of time, usually between 24 and 48 hours. The puzzles were designed to be more technical in nature than in a typical puzzlehunt, and the hunt was targeted at students in computer science.
