P.I.HUNT 9/Sequence 3-2

Sequence 3-2 (internally known as "nexus") is a sequence in P.I.HUNT 9.

There are a total of 4 riddles in this sequence. This sequence is entirely linear and all 4 riddles must be solved in order to unlock the next sequences, Sequence 4-1 and Sequence 4-2.

Description[edit | edit source]

Riddles in this sequence are formatted as word webs. Words are scattered around, and each letter of each word is connected to letters in nearby words, indicating that the letters are identical. Typing a letter in one side of the connection also sets the same letter in the other side of the connection.

Additionally, riddles in this section have the honor code restriction that search engines (like Google) and word search tools (like Nutrimatic or Onelook) are not allowed to be used.

Click to revealIn the epilogue of P.I.HUNT 9, Jack Lance envisions word webs as an alternative history analogue to the crossword puzzle, providing a similar amount of letter checking while being much less constrained to write. He suggested that this could help increase the amount of theming material in a puzzle.
