Unseparated clues is a puzzle element wherein a set of clues that would normally be presented discretely are instead presented cohesively and the solver must determine how to separate the clues. While the purposes and benefits to using this element vary widely, a puzzle using unseparated clues is typically much more difficult than the same puzzle using separated clues.
