The Cambridge Puzzle Hunt 2017 was the inaugural Cambridge Puzzle Hunt, jointly organized by the Trinity Mathematical Society, the Archimedeans and the Trinity College Science Society. It followed the Australian hunt format, with four puzzles being released each day over four days, for a total of 16 puzzles. Canned hints would be released for each puzzle after being open for 1, 2, and 3 days. There was no final metapuzzle. Teams were up to 5 people. The top three teams were An Asylum in Every Sense of the Word, Plugh lives on the Third Floor, and plugh needs a rubber, who scored 68, 68, and 67 points respectively (out of a maximum of 80 points). Mystereo Cantos won the Lone Wolf prize for being the top solo team, with 45 points.

Prior to the hunt, a set of five taster puzzles were released.
