| Edric's Treasure Hunt Chronology | |
Edric's 2021 Treasure Hunt (the fourth in the series) went live at 8:00 p.m. EDT on the first Friday in April, 2021. The hunt was comprised of five puzzles which together would direct the solver to the end of the hunt. The nature of the five puzzles were:
- A paper-manipulation puzzle
- A cryptogram puzzle
- A kakuro puzzle
- A text-based puzzle
- Another text-based/following directions puzzle
Deviations from tradition[edit | edit source]
In the first three years of these treasure hunts, the .pdf file provided at the launch of the hunt only included enough information to solve the initial puzzle. In 2021, however, the initial .pdf file was the ONLY information solvers were given, and all of the information they needed was there to be deciphered on that one .pdf.
