MIT Mystery Hunt 2010 was the 30th iteration of the MIT Mystery Hunt. It was run by Beginner's Luck, the winners of the 2009 Mystery Hunt. The theme of the hunt was celebrating the 30th MIT Mystery Hunt, with a short one-round hunt so that teams could celebrate the rest of the weekend. However, the coin ends up being translocated to a different point in time, in which the MIT Mystery Hunt turns out to have a 300 year history. Teams have to go through earlier and earlier (fictional) Mystery Hunt rounds in order to get various newspaper clippings Click to revealwhich modify the way that the first round puzzles work, giving teams alternate answers. The winning team, Metaphysical Plant, found the coin at 5:50 AM, Sunday, January 17.
