MUMS Puzzle Hunt Chronology | |
The MUMS Puzzle Hunt 2012 was the 9th iteration of the MUMS Puzzle Hunt, run by the Melbourne University Maths Society. It follows the Australian hunt format, with four puzzles were released each day for five days, with the metapuzzle also released on the fifth day. The theme of the hunt was an apocalyptic pandemic caused by a villainous koala, and teams had to find the antidote in order to stop it. Xyzzy was the highest ranked team, with a perfect score of 100 points and an average solve time of 2.61 hours. The Sons of Tamarkin were the only other team to achieve a perfect score in the hunt. The onsite meta puzzle was won by 象を発射, who found the antivirus at around 4:35pm on Saturday, 28th April.
