Silph Puzzle Hunt (formerly Smogon Puzzle Hunt) is an annual online puzzle hunt, started in 2018. The hunt is usually Pokemon-themed, with each hunt's story taking place in the Pokemon universe. There have been four Silph Hunts so far as of 2021. Unlike many online hunts, the hunt is not run by the members of a puzzle hunt team, but rather by a collection of writers from a few different teams including ⛎ UNICODE EQUIVALENCE, ✈️✈️✈️ Galactic Trendsetters ✈️✈️✈️, and NES.[1]

Silph Puzzle Hunt was first run in 2018 as Smogon Puzzle Hunt, with signups hosted on the forums of the competitive Pokemon site Smogon and the hunt itself run in a Discord server created for the event. For the hunt's fourth iteration in 2021, the hunt was renamed from Smogon Puzzle Hunt to Silph Puzzle Hunt due to the hunt growing further from its original association with Smogon and shifting its focus towards catering to a more public audience.
