The team has instituted a "we're absolutely not winning this year" rule in 2003 and for many years after 2005 (sometimes implemented as "taking a drink after every solve"). This led the team to temporarily take in past Mystery Hunt constructors who did not wish to write again, leading to the team getting a reputation of being the Mystery Hunt Retirement Home.
