Test Solution Bees Ignore
Test Solution, Bees Ignore or TSBI is a Team that participates in Puzzle hunts. It started in 2019, as a merger between the teams Test Solution, Please Ignore and Aviation Laws[1] in 2019. Since its formation, it has placed top 10 in three MIT Mystery Hunts. It has been known in the past for its large size, and is best known for its bee theming.
History
The name "Test Solution, Bees Ignore" is a thematic combination of the two teams that merged to create it: Aviation Laws and Test Solution, Please Ignore.
Aviation Laws got its name from the opening lines of the 2007 animated film Bee Movie. The film began: "According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly."), and the line has become a meme within the team and parts of the Puzzle Hunt community. TSPI's name was a reference to reference to this reddit post (which was, at one point, the most upvoted post on Reddit).[1]
TSBI has participated in most non-MH hunts under hunt-thematic names, often with the initials 'TSBI' in the team name. Notably, TSBI teams won (or performed in top-3) in a series of non-MH hunts between 2019 and 2021, including GPH19, Teammate 20 and others.
In 2021, prior to MH22, some prominent TSBI members joined with members of other teams, including Galactic Trendsetters and teammate to form Unicode Equivalence. For MH22, the team split into two subteams TSBI Hive and TSBI Swarm, to balance competitiveness and fun.
