20/20 Vision, was the fourth iteration of the Galactic Puzzle Hunt, run by ✈✈✈ Galactic Trendsetters ✈✈✈ in 2021. Despite taking place in July-August 2021, the puzzle hunt was branded as "Galactic Puzzle Hunt 2020". The puzzle hunt featured five distinct rounds, with an intro round, and four main rounds themed around optical devices, with most of the rounds having unique mechanisms that affect the puzzles or the unlock structure. This hunt also saw the highest participation of any Galactic Puzzle Hunt so far, with 951 registered teams, and 623 teams having solved at least one puzzle. A total of 76 teams have solved the Telescope metapuzzle and thus finished the hunt.
Plot[edit | edit source]
Team members woke up in March 13, 2020.[1] The Galactic Puzzle Hunt was going to start soon, but nobody could find their glasses. At this point, teams now started solving puzzles. Though the intro round puzzles started out blurry, it took the eyes one hour to adjust to each of them, at which point they became clearer. After solving the intro round, teams discovered that they have left themselves clues for their glasses' whereabouts on four optical devices ("sights"), with each them being a round in itself:
- Night Vision Goggles
- Periscope
- Microscope
- Binoculars
Once teams solved the four metas of these rounds, the Four Sights meta opened, and solving that unlocked the final Telescope meta.
Structure[edit | edit source]
The hunt is divided into five main rounds. Most of the rounds have a signature mechanism that uniquely distinguishes them and affects the puzzles or unlock structure.
