Frumious Bandersnatch
Frumious Bandersnatch is a team that participates in the MIT Mystery Hunt and some other online hunts. In the Mystery Hunt, the team is a medium-sized team that typically places around 10th-20th. The team name comes from a neologism coined by Lewis Carroll in Jabberwocky, referring to a vicious fictional creature.[1][2]
The team was formed in 2007, starting in Theta Xi, later expanding to Burton-Conner (particularly Conner 2, 4, and 5, since many Theta Xi members lived in Conner 4) and various other friends. In 2012, Frumious Bandersnatch hunted from the Burton-Conner lounge, but now no longer has a strong affiliation with Burton-Conner. Team ADPhi merged into the team in 2016. The team also has a sizeable contingent of about 15 hunters who hunt from San Francisco.[3]
