✈✈✈ Galactic Trendsetters ✈✈✈ (pronounced "whoosh Galactic Trendsetters neeoww") is a MIT-affliated team that participates in the MIT Mystery Hunt, as well as other puzzle hunts in smaller groups. Started in 2011, they placed top 10 in eight MIT Mystery Hunts. They won the 2020 MIT Mystery Hunt and subsequently hosted the 2021 MIT Mystery Hunt. Since 2017, they have run six iterations of the online Galactic Puzzle Hunt, as well as BAPHL 11.

✈✈✈ Galactic Trendsetters ✈✈✈ first originated as an MIT Mystery Hunt team based in the 3W floor (also known as floorpi) of MIT's East Campus dorm.[1][2] They competed under the names Desert Catbus (a reference to the game Desert Bus, and My Neighbor Totoro) in 2011 and Occupy Leisure Station (a reference to a bubble tea place in Boston, Leisure Station) in 2012, eventually naming themselves after Galactic Trendsetters, a card in the board game Race for the Galaxy. The planes originated from an old proposed BAPHL team name, "✈✈✈✈✈✈".
In other hunts, subteams may compete under the Galactic name or variations thereof, often with six emoji and a name connected to the hunt theme.
Galactic Trendsetters is closely related to [pi], which usually consists of current dorm residents, while those under the Galactic name are often composed of alumni and friends. Galactic Trendsetters is also a sister team to teammate, having previously hunted together in the MIT Mystery Hunt until 2017. teammate split off and formed a separate team in 2018.

wub and trendsetters were the team usernames of ✈✈✈Galactic Trendsetters✈✈✈ in 2013 and 2020 respectively, who used the ✈✈✈Galactic Trendsetters✈✈✈ full name.
