| Puzzle Rojak Chronology | |
Puzzle Rojak 1 was an online puzzle hunt run in late December, 2021. It was run by Puzzle Rojak, a team formed from CMU. The hunt had 32 puzzles and was expected to be similar to the UMD Puzzle Hunt in difficulty. Puzzle Rojak 1 had a single main round, preceded by a prepuzzle and ending with five metapuzzles.
A sequel, Puzzle Rojak 2, was announced to run in May 2024.

Plot[edit | edit source]
The story is themed after the Where's Waldo series of books. Waldo goes missing, and teams go off after him. After solving the prepuzzle, the main round unlocks - teams have to solve a puzzle trail left by the hiding expert Waldo in hope of finding him.
It turns out that Waldo went to the Fairground, In Town, and On the Beach scenes. After teams solve enough puzzles, the three scene metapuzzles unlock, which later leads to the runaround and the meta meta that they can solve to finally discover Waldo's whereabouts.
